I have a spreadsheet that needs to have every other line shaded, like accounting paper to make it easier to read. Everytime I sort is by a different column, the shaded lines go with the data and it is no longer every other line. Any ideas?
Criteria1: Fromula is: =mod(Row(),2)=0 -- whatever shade
Criteria2: Fromula is: =mod(Row(),2)=1 -- whatever other shade

this worked well - thanks for the tip. Just one more question. I have two columns that need to be formatted a different color, and when I used this conditional format, they change to this alternating grey and white also. Is ther a way to go back and override it for certian colunms?
Select those columns and apply whatever different ConditionalFormatting is desired.
