Excel Forecast

I'm trying to use either forecast or trend in Excel on data as shown below. I want to forecast the loan counts for future dates. The actual data will cover a 6 month known and 6 month forecast period.

I've tried following the examples in excel help, but I get #Value errors or div/0 errors. Thanks for any suggestions!

I get a #VALUE! error with this formula, same when I CTL-SHIFT_ENTER for an array. Thanks for helping!!

Your KNOWN VALUES range reference must be ABSOLUTE, for you to copy down...
[tt]
=trend(A2:A10,B2:B10,B11:B17)
=TREND($A$2:$A$10,$B$2:$B$10,B11)
[/tt]
and copy down.
