I have an Excel workbook that the footers are acting goofy when printing.

When I first open the workbook the footers will show up on the print preview and print correctly for a handful of sheets, however if I select several sheets to print the footer doesn't up date properly and will print with the info from the first page only. Additionally, if I select several worksheets to make a change, like papersize, and then go back to print preview, the footer will not update and will only show the first pages information.

Any one know why?

It has taken me a while to make sense of what I hear at work involving computers. There is much talk of bugs and questions about Raid.
Therefore I have come to the logical conclusion that the only way to have a properly functioning computer is to regularly spray it with Raid bug killer.

Hi,

I've never observed goofy printing, but daffy: YES!

Hard to know what's happening without access to your specific workbook, knowing the footer configuration, knowing what sheet selections you made and how the selections were made, in order to replicate the problem.

When you select multiple sheets and set single print option, other printing settings may be copied too.
When you print multiple selected sheets, they are treated as single document, page numbers may have continuous numbering.
It's possible to set different first page header/footer with header & footer tools: What are your settings?

Thanks Combo. That didn't solve the problem directly but it made a huge leap forward.

I ended up having to recreate my sheets with the correct footers and then printing them without going into print preview.
