Everytime I try to change the source data of my charts in my spreadsheet, I get an error from the Office assistant saying that 'No more new fonts can be applied to this workbook'. But I'm not doing anything with fonts nor do I want to. It doesn't seem to be a problem when I change the source data, but it's starting to become a pain. Does anyone know why?

Hi

There is a limit to the number of fonts that you can have in an Excel spreadsheet - I know this because I too have broken it. Once you have broken this limit any serious reformatting of your spreadsheet will generate the howling moan that you are getting as it attempts to redraw. Even reducing the number of fonts retains the error - but to get around this, remove the superfluous fonts and do a file>save as which cleared the "shadow" of the fonts from my files a treat.
