Excel - Flickering worksheet

Hi

I've developed a project using VBA-6 Excel-2000.
The application flickers whilst performing a process which is activated from a worksheet(sheet1) and involves searching a different worksheet(sheet2) for certain data, then returning the data to worksheet(sheet1).

Is there anyway to prevent this flickering?

in excel use something like

application.screenupdating = false

this works in Excel 97, so I would guess that Excel 2000 has an equivalent command.
