If what you are looking for is not in the filtered list of data, it will give you a "cannot find" message but that is perfectly normal - you get the same issue if you manually hide the rows of data

LOL - That just makes too much sense Geoff I'm sat there thinking that of course that can't be what is being attempted because why would you expect to find data in a range when you have filtered it out, so surely it must actually be there and the OP is not finding it for some reason. But of course I should have realised..........
