Hiya! I'm trying to filter a huge excel spreadsheet so I just have a list of unique job numbers. Presently these occur in column A but could occur from one to twenty rows. Is there a filter I could put on so just the first instance of each job is shown? I'm afraid i'm out of my depth! Thanks for the help in advance

Have a look at "Advanced Filter"
One of the options is to extract unique records

Or
Range("A" & activesheet.usedrange.rows.count).select
