Let’s say I have an Excel sheets with more columns that can fit on the screen, very typical. And I want to Filter the data, so I click: Data – Filter. Excel ‘slides’ all the way to the last column. Why? Very annoying.
If you keep clicking Filter on and off, Excel will slide back and forth: first column, last column, first column, last column.

Is there a way to apply Filter and NOT jump all the way to the last / first column?
Just stay where my focus/selected cell is

There is a great need for a sarcasm font.

In my case (excel 2016) excel makes first column visible and no switching after that. No jumps after converting data to structured table and switching on/off the filter after this.

Thanks combo, but I don't convert my data to a structured table. My users would go bananas if they would see something different on the screen [shocked]
