excel files not copying

Excel files that contain macros will not copy to laptop with Windows XP SP2 running Office 2003 SR1. The computer hangs during the copy. Have installed all updates to Windows and Office. Have also changed the excel settings for macros to low. This helps copying some files but not the ones that froze the computer. How can I copy these files to the new computer? Tried emailing the files and when launching the files and it caused a blue screen. Same files opened on an older computer with Windows XP give the following message "This workbook contains a user form or class module, which may include unsafe macros. Keep the VBA project in this workbook only if you trust the source of this workbook. Do you want to keep the VBA project in this workbook?" Files were OK on the old laptop running Windows 2000 and Office 2000 with all updates installed.

Have you tried turning off the IE SP2 Popup Blocker, or placing the source IP address in the Trusted Site list?
