Excel file with macro's takes a minute or two to load

One of the computers that my team uses has problems opening Excel files that have macro's in it. However, other computers in my department have the same specifications as the "problem" computer and the same files open within seconds. All the systems are running Windows 2000. Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

What version Excel - 2000 by any chance. Does that user customise his toolbars at all? Possible that his toolbar customisation file is starting to bloat, in which case he could end up with Excel not starting at all. If this is the case then finding and deleting/renaming the *.xlb file may fix it. This will obviously mean the loss of any customisations to the toolbars though.
