Good Morning

I would like to extract cell values from an excel spreadsheet into a text or CSV file.

I was thinking of using a macro to do this job then using a vbs script to run the macro from a dos command.

Any hints or tips would be great

Thanks

Nick

depending on what you need to do, your best bet is probably to simply set up the data in excel and just save as > csv

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

not sure why you want to complicate things by running from dos command though...should all be done within excel

hi,

Assuming that producing a .csv file from a worksook, is just one step in some larger process, tell us what this entire process is, because in some instances, there could be a simpler or more direct path from A to B.
