Excel exporting format CR 8.5

Hi,

On my PC, I have Windows 98, Cr 8.5 and Office XP. When I run a report and want to export it in excel, I don't have the format excel 8.0 (extended). It stops at excel 5.0. I didn't have that problem with Office 2000 (excel 2000). So what I did, I desinstall Office XP, reinstall Office 2000. No change. So I reinstalled CR 8.5 and no change either. Do I have to reinstall completely the PC? Is there a workaround?

You need the latest dlls and patches. Crystal 8.5 downloads were improved a lot recently and it should say MS Excel 97 or similar. Try

http://support.crystaldecisions.com/updates/.

Once you get up to date, you'll find Excel much easier and Word exports usable.
