Excel errors since applying SP1 for 2003

Since applying SP1 to 2003, my users cannot create new excel files on ITS thru the portal.
It seems like the permissions are set to read only but they have full control.
They get a 404 error that the page cannot be displayed.
Any ideas?

Try in Excel Extras->Macro->Securtiy and in the popup
select both checkboxes to trust everything.
I had a likely problem (but not through its and portal, but directly on 4.6c) and solved it this way.

I don't see where you are refering to - i go to excel>tools>macro>security (there is no extra). The only options in security is Secuirty level for Macros (high, med and low) and the other tab is trusted sources (VB and add-ins).
Is this what you mean?

yes thats exactly what i mean.(sorry for the "extra"... have no english excel here ;-))
