I am using a drop down box with data to calculate a value. The data in the drop down boxes transfers to an input sheet where all the inputs are stored. This sheet is typically hidden and protected. The drop down box and calculation works fine if the hidden inputs sheet is unprotected. Once I protect input sheet, I get the error message "exception occurred". I'm using an excel program that had already been created, and just added in 2 drop down boxes with inputs. Any ideas on how to get this to work with the input sheet protected? Thanks in advance.

Make sure the cell where your inputs are stored (on the hidden sheet) are unlocked (Format > Cells > Protection > uncheck "Locked") before you protect and hide the sheet. Then your inputs should work OK.
