Excel doesn't open full screen

When a open an xls file it opens correctly. If I close that ducument and minimise the Excel application and then open a another .xls document it opens in the taskbar minimised. I tried to search for an option that would make it open maximised but could not find one. Any insights? Thank you

you could try not minimising excel.....workbooks tend to follow application settings.....

Thanks for the reply. I tried this on three computers. One of them opens maximised no matter what while the other two stay minimised. Could not find the option related to this. Any other suggestions? The user is used to minimising and doesn not want to change. Thank you

I would guess it's a Windows Explorer Registry setting, and not an Excel setting. Haven't got time to investigate further I'm afraid.

Just to let you know that i made the same test with a Word document. I don't experience the same symptoms! If this was a Windows Explorer registry setting wouldn't it affect all the apps? Thanks for the help.
