Hello,
We have office 2000 - Standard with SR-1a and service pack 3. In excel (and also in word), if I highlight a text cell and click on bold icon on tool bar, it takes good 6-8 secs before the text changes from normal to bold (not more than 6-8 characters in the cell) subsequent same action, changing text from Normal to Bold,is instantaneous. Same problem with inserting a cell or something. First time the action takes a long time with subsquent repeat of t e operation on different part of the worksheet is instantaneous.
I disabled anti-virus and other startup programs and rebooted the system. Same thing. any suggestions or clue on the problem?
We are running Windows 2000 Pro with Service Pack 4 (same thing happened on service pack 3 then updated to service pack 4)
