I have Office 2k installed on my machine,
running Win95. My regional settings are
set to English (British). I chose all English
(British) settings during installation of
Office 2k. However, when filtering dates
from my sheets using macro's, all sorts of
weird and wonderful things are happening.
For starters, when trying to format the
date 03/02/01 (3rd of February 2001) on my
sheet, in Date type, the only selection I
can make which is in this format puts it
to 02/03/01 (2nd March 2001). So if I choose
custom type, and choose dd/mm/yy, then run
the macro to filter a date which equals 03/02/01,
it doesn't appear in the selection because
it doesn't see the cell as a date anymore
(I think!). I then have to go into the drop
down arrow of the column header for the dates,
and choose 'Custom' type for it to filter
the date that equals the criteria. Can anybody
offer any help as to what I can do to getaround this?

TIA

I did not have this problem. I'd love to see your file. I'm intrigued.

How are you entering your dates? What are the exact keystrokes you're using, i.e., what would it look like if you typed it into Word?
