Hi there,

Does any know how I can enforce the following date format in my excel spreadsheet: MM/DD/YYYY, so that when users key in data they must input dates following this format?

on the flipside..
I do have a SAVE button on the sheet.. is there a predefined function or routine i can use to check to ensure that the date looks like MM/DD/YYYY and if not then convert it to MM/DD/YYYY?

Thanks!

Hey now...do I smell a double post?

Please check the responses in the office forum.

Don't know about the double post, but I'd just format the cells. Use custom format and "mm/dd/yyyy" as the string. This will autoformat them into this form
