Excel database query

Has anyone had experience using Excel's database query to import data in Access files that are not .mdb. I need to connect to Access Project files (with extensions .adp and .ade) and I can't seem to find suitable drivers on Microsoft's website. Any ideas?

I haven't used MS Access Project, but this link seemed to cover some of the bases.

I'm responding to your posting because I've never been satisfied with how Project integrates with other Office products. I think it would sell a lot better if it did.
