excel data source

I used MS excel data source along with SQL data souruce. After I added excel data file, I'm unable to execute the crystal report. I'm getting error: Logon Failed. Error number - 2147189176. Any idea where this is failing? for your information, If I use only excel data file as source ina blank report then that work fine.

Thanks for the reply. This is not the case of my problem as template is already blank. the problem description is" the following error occurred while preparing report ..... Error number - 2147189176.Logon Failed.
