I have a cell that is set to =Today() and a query from an external data source that looks at this cell to get the correct dat. It uses this date to pull forward only current information.

The problem is the query will not recodize the date field as a match to the database however if I manually type in 01/01/2006 in a cell that is text formated, the query can use it and will show the correct info.

Now when I simply make the test cell = to the date cell. I get a 5 digit worthless number.

I some way to automaticly get the date value in to a text field and still have the format remain the same.

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
