I have a list of names for example(Sally,Joe,Mary) and beside those names I have something called a Q score for each person and beside that a H score for each person. I want a user of spreadsheet to pull a name from a combo box box and have the cells (A1:C1) update with this information. I plan to hide the results of the others. Which combo box do I use?(form, other) and how do I do this? I know a little VB but not VBA. Please help.

Thing to remember is: the combobox on the Control Toolbox = active-x & very like the controls in VB5/6
The FORMS one is technically a DropDown & a throwback to xl95; this object is still supported in VBA as of xl 97 but there's not much help available.

HTH!

Cheers
Nikki

I'd use Data>Validation to provide the dropdown box - that way you can use normal vlookup formulae to reference the selected value and return the data Rgds
