This should be pretty easy, yet I don't know how to do it.

I have a combo box in a spreadsheet linked to four cells. The four cells are formatted as percentages. In the drop down list the values are shown as percentages but upon selecting one of the values it appears in general format. Is there any way for the value selected to appear in the combo box as a percentage?

Thanks,
Eric

Eric,

I tried exactly what you described, and got the combo box to show the chosen value as a percentage. This list also shows percentages.

Perhaps you are using a different version of Excel. I'm using Excel '97 SR2

I could send you a sample, or if you like you could email me a sample - it might make it easier.

Thanks for the response. I'm using Excel 2000. so there might be a difference. I sent you a copy in 97 format if you want to take a look at it.

Thanks again,
Eric

Thanks Dale. This is strange when I opened your modified workbook the combo box that you inserted looked exactly as I wanted. However, Excel treats your control differently than it does mine (different(less) options when you right click) I guess 2000 doesn't treat the combos the same as 97 does even though it supports the 97 format.
Anyway that solved my problem. Here's a little something for the effort.
