i don't know how it's happening, but i set my column widths to 10, save my changes, the next day when i come in they are at 4.63!!! what is going on?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is the Cell Alignment Format for the column set to Fit to Width?

nothing in my xlstart folder, and as far as i can tell the settings are not set to auto width. there is another person that opens the files, but all of their settings are the same, but even if they open it and DON'T save any changes they column widths are all screwed up when i open it after they do. the only thing different between my setting and theirs is our monitor settings, would that make any difference?

Check this out, just to be sure.

Both of you:

Go to regional settings in your control panel. Check the DATE tab. See what your short dates are set to.

I've got mine at mm/dd/yyyy, some only have mm/dd/yy, and this can make things weird. Brainbench MVP for Microsoft Word
