I have made an Excel chart, but I can't seem to figure out how to modify the axis.

The data on the Y-axis -- I would like for it to be displayed on the X-axis and vice versa. Basically, I have numbers on the Y-axis and variable names on the X-axis. Is there a way to switch them?

Thank you.

There isn't a way by which you can switch axes. The only thing you can do in this case is make it bar a chart.

I think that we did something like this before by using the cut function to select the table's contents, and then selecting Paste Special to place it in a new area. The paste special will bring up a dialog box and one of the bottom options should read Transpose.

If you wish to switch the X & Y axis, Click on the Chart, go to Chart => Source Data and change from Rows to Columns or vice versa.
Hope this helps
