I have an excel 2003-sheet, that reacts quite strange.

I have a cell with format number and decimals=1
The cell has a value = 1.1
If I change the value to 1.15 I will expect to see 1.2 in the cell and 1.15 in the formularow.

But I have 1.2 both places.

There are no data validation, no VBA-code.

Can anyone help me? What is going on and where can I reset Excel?

Hi,

So what happens when you enter 1.15 into two cells and then SUM the two?

Skip,

for a NUANCE![tongue]

Tools - Options - "Precision as Displayed" might be ticked. In this case, everything is rounded and the true value is not retained.

Thanks for these very quick answers.

lionelhill you solved my problem. The "Precision as Displayed" was checked, and after unchecking this, everything works perfect.
Thanks again
