Using Excel 2007.
I have a list of 2000+ customer numbers, that I'm trying to format to include open and closing quotes and a comma after each one; '798789',
I've been highlighting the entire column, selecting Format Cells, Custom, and putting in '######', to format the column. The formatting is only showing up when I go to each individual cell and double click on it. Daunting task for 2000 cells.
I've done this sort of formatting in the past and it's worked as intended, but now I don't remember if I'm doing something wrong or not. I've done the whole google thing and according to what I've seen I am doing it correctly. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!
