Hello!
I am having a problem with a Windows 98 machine running office 2000. The issue is this...when I try to open a spreadsheet on this one computer it throws the following error: "...EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in
module EXCEL.EXE at 0187:3029a578"

The weird thing is that it opens on all other computers I have tried it on, and all other excel documents open on this problem machine.

I have tried removing and reinstalling Office 2000, and even tried laying on another copy of Windows 98 - to no avail. The problem still persists.

Has anyone experienced this before? Have any suggestions, I am currently researching the Microsoft site to find answers. Your help is greatly appreciated!

thanks!
Amber

I am running Office 2000 Professional SR-1

It's possible the service release needs updating unless the other systems that have no problems are on the same release.

If not...see HTTP://

Have you tried doing a repair of the office installation. Goto add/remove programs, select office and then you should get the option to do a repair.

Other than that look at things like your printer drivers. Afaik excel adjusts the page to the printer, try re installating your printer driver. That can help.
