Does anyone know a easy why to get the totals at the bottom of a sheet to change depending on what is being filtered.
i.e.
Unfiltered
Column A Column B
March 100
April 100
May 100

Total 300

Filtered
Column A Column B
March 100

Total 100

Thanks for any help in advanced

Excel 97

Just use the Subtotal function. =Subtotal(arg1,Range)
arg1 is a number from 1-9 (3=count, 9=sum, i forget the others off hand but i'm sure there's a max / min and average). Range is your full dataset range. When filtered, the subtotal will give you the sum / count etc of the filtered cells.
