When I try and launch an Excel attatchmentfrom an email, it opens up three windows instead of one, any ideas why. It is only with Excel. Lamaar75@hotmail.com
What do you mean three windows? Please do the best you can to answer these:
1. Does it open 3 windows of the Excel program?
2. Does it open 3 different files in Excel?
If #2, as I suspect, I want you to close Excel, find your XLSTART directory and make sure that you don't have any files in there. If there is not, open Excel and hit Tools-Options-General tab and see if you have anything in the Alternate Startup Folder. Remove it.
One of these should fix your problem, unless your answer to number 1 above is YES and to number 2 is NO.

Restart your PC. Close any programs.
Hit Start-Run and type:
regedit
and hit enter. Browse to this folder:
For Excel 97:
hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\8.0\excel
For Excel 2000:
hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\9.0\excel
Right click the Excel folder and rename it to OldExcel.
If that does not work, let me know. Also, when you start Excel through Start-Programs-Excel, does it open any files or three instances or what?
