I have a number of reports in CR Enterprise 11.5 using Windows AD authentication that won't allow refreshing of reports with excel as a datasource. Yes I knwo everyone frowns on Excel as a datasource but I have no choice, no one is given access to write to SQL unfortuantely. I have tried setting up the datasource using both the network name M: and the UNC name. Neither will work. I saved the data with the report so it can be opened but no one even me with full control can refresh. I get:
CrystalReportViewer handleCrystalEvent failed
Unable to retrieve Object.
The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect.
That is with "Use same database logon as when report is run"
If i get it to ask for password it just asks for logon over and over.
Yes I am using user password info, I don't have teh CMS password
I thought about telling it "Viewer refresh always yields current data " and deselecting all refresh options but I still get the same problem.
Help?
PS. my SQL server datasource based reports do refresh
