Excel and Word 2003 with Outlook 2010 installed (Cut and Paste Issue)

I have a user who has Excel and Word 2003 installed with Outlook 2010 on Windows XP SP3. When they have Outlook running and try to copy/cut and paste in Word or Excel it hangs for a minute or two before the function completes. I have tried to repair the installation and re install using the Change under Add Remove programs. Any ideas on what I can do besides upgrading to a full 2010 suite?
