How do I have a excel sheet automatically update a VFP database when ever something is entered into the excel sheet?

Jon

You need to create an add-in for Excel that responds to Excel's events. I wrote an article about this that appeared in the July '02 FoxPro Advisor.

As for talking to VFP from Excel in the add-in, you can either use ADO or write a VFP COM object that you instantiate and call in the add-in.

Tamar thank you for responding.

I am unable to locate the article.

You should be able to buy a back issue of the magazine. I've also written about this in session notes from a number of conferences in the last couple of years. The session title was "Office Automation Beyond the Basics" or "Advanced Office Automation." I don't remember the exact list, but check materials from DevTeach and DevCon.
