Excel Alignment of Cells

The way i have it is aligning horizontal with indentation of 2 so the $ is on the left and the numbers are lined up but it looks like this:

$ 400
$ 4000
$ 40000

Any better ways?

Try the accounting format for numbers. If you keep the column width reasonable, it looks pretty good.
