now help me folks...

excel file with sheet name "data" - 21 columns - 5000 rows each....one of the columns is for "dates" -
in a different sheet, i am allowing the user to enter "start" and "stop" dates.
I want to use these dates to filter the stuff in "data" sheet....i have tried as hell and failed....HELP !!!!

Your task does not appear difficult. I can email you an example file that should be very useful in demonstrating what you need to do.

Another option would be for you to email me your file and I would insert the required VBA code and return it to you. Your choice.

Naturally if you do send me your file, I would expect you to just send the structure - i.e. without all the data. However you should include a small number of records (fictitious data if required) so that I can be certain of the type of data you're working with.
