Excel Acting strange (Mail Merge not updating)

2 issue i am having with excel. 1) I have a mail merge and when i update the excel file the word file does not pull from it anymore.

2) Zip Codes (I enter a zip code then renter or make a change to the zip code and when I press enter it goes back to what was just there.

Any advice appreciated. I tried a detect and repair and a reinstall. the files do not do this on other computer just this 1.

Did you change or delete ANY HEADINGS?

Did you change the file name or file path?

I found a solution. It was related to fixed decimal placed being set to 2. Tools, options, edit and uncheck fixed decimal places.
