I have just installed our first XP client on an NT4 Network. We use Office 97 Pro on all desktops, so loaded it on to the new machine.
An Excel 97 spreadsheet then gave the following error message when refusing to open.
Box Heading "Microsoft Visual Basic"
Err Message "Permission to use object denied."
The usual permissions were checked and all found to be okay.
The user only regained access after I signed on as System Administrator, opened the speadsheet, closed it, but did NOT save it. Then allow the user to log back on.
Is this a strange new ritual for XP or have I done something wrong ?
Any ideas please.
Lew
