I'm trying to print the file pathname/location as part of the header or footer. however, there is no custom header/footer for this feature. Word has an option that allows you to print the file location w/every document. Is there a such thing in Excel without having to manually type the file location i.e. c://my documents/test....

I know that 2000 does; you can look and see if these same instructions apply.

Select Page Setup>Header and Footer. Click on Custom Header or Custom Footer. You'll see a series of buttons in the middle of the dialog box that opens (like one for page number, date, etc.). Look at the second one from the end. It should have an Excel symbol on it. That will insert the file name.
