I have this spreadsheet with several worksheets. I wish to copy some of the worksheets into a seperate Excel file that I can use to distribute to other users.

The problem is that when I copy my worksheets they maintain the link back to the original. For example Cell C23 =
='M:\Reports\3 Monthly\Unit Analysis Report\Unit Brand - by Company\[Unit Analysis MTD & YTD.xls]Input Actual'!H1

How do I copy across the data removing the link to the old file? i.e the above should read

='Input Actual'!H1

at the moment I am merely right clicking on worksheet tab and copying to my new file from there.

Help appreciated for this novice

regards

Hi Yorrick,

Another thing to look at in the new file is Edit, Links.
Here you have to option to Change Source to point at the new .xls file.

HTH.
