Since adding a Palm pilot to a users machine, Excel 97 cannot save any file to ant location. The error message - Excel cannot access the location drive:\folder\etc is not a valid path. All other office apps work normally. I do not think it is a permissions problem as I have domain admin rights etc and cannot use excel on that PC using my profile. I have removed the Palm Desktop from the PC and there is no difference. Advice please.

1. Try Start/Run excel.exe /regserver (may need full path to Excel).
2. Have a look in your XLSTART folder (from which any .xls files are automatically opened when Excel is opened). I think Palm may have put a file there. See what happens if you move this out temporarily.
