Does the 65000 row limitation still exist in Excel 2003? Yes, I know it is 2006 but my company is just rolling out office 2003. Cutting edge.

Yes, give or take 536 rows.

Stupidity has no handicap

Excel 2007 will have over 1 million rows.

wooohoooo - not really sure about the upside of this because quite frankly, if you have >30,000 rows of data (less than 1/2 of what is technically possible already in excel), and try to add any number of calcs, the workbook will run like a dog - I just can't imagine excel calculating 1/2 million vlookups !!!!

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

A lot of it is reworked from the ground up, including the calculation algorithms. They had to just for that very reason. There are a lot of things that get a raised eyebrow from me. Another one is being able to nest 64 IF functions. I had a problem with 7. Good lord.

Okay, off soap box. :)
