I have a simple Clustered Bar chart that contains 5 horizontal bars (values from top bar in descending order = 8000 - 5000 - 3000 - 2000 1000).

The text descriptions for each bar is located to the left of the bars (called 'Vertical [Category] Axis). Some of these descriptions wrap automatically to two lines with alignment=centered (from left-to-right, not top/bottom). I've been trying to change the alignment so that the text is right-justified when copy wraps to the 2nd line.

I believe that I've been able to do this in other Excel versions, but have not been successful in Excel 2013. Any assistance on how to do this?

As always, I really appreciate feedback.

bb, I've had similar frustrations with category labels since Excel 95.

What you might consider with your clustered bar, assuming that there are ALWAYS the same number of bars in each cluster, just forget using a value for the category axis.

Rather format those values in a column range, locate & size the chart and plot area to coincide with the column range. It will take some tweaking.

I've used this technique to generate waterfall charts for multilevel bills of material manufacturing spans (not cluster bare, however).
