I believe I have basic understanding of PivotTables and how to manipulate specific data from my PivotData within Excel 2010. Some fields within my PivotData are:
- Bid Date
- Bid Year (calculated off of Bid Date)
- Office
- Our Bid Amount
- Placement (1, 2, 3, etc)
- Low Bid
- High Bid
- Awarded Project (Y/N)
PivotTable has Row Labels:
- Office
- Bid Year
Values Wanted:
1. # of Projects Bid (don't have a problem here)
2. How many times we had low bid, Placement = 1 (would like calculated field to countif Placement = 1)
3. # of Projects Awarded (don't have a problem here)
4. Percentage Awarded [Item 3/Item 1 of my PivotTable (can't get my calculated field correct or can't get to display correct--not sure which)].
5. Bid Volumne (don't have a problem here)
6. Total Awarded (would like calculated field to sum if Awarded is Y)
I've read numerous "help" screens and still seem to be missing something, but don't know what.
I could add fields to my PivotData in order to accomplish Items 2 and 6, but I really want to understand doing calculated fields witin the PivotTable.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
