Good afternoon, I want to add a calculated (date difference) field but don't appear to have the choice under PivotTable Tools; Options; Tools. The only thing under there is PivotChart.

Any ideas please?

Many thanks,

hi,

In the PivotTable TOOLS Analyze tab you should have a Calculations Group. YES?

Hi Skip, no. Unfortunately the only thing under the PivotTable Tools; Options; Tools is PivotChart. I don't appear to have an "Analyze" tab. My version is 14.0.7015.1000 (32 bit)

Many thanks,

When you select in the PT you see TABS in the ribbon.

A context sensitive tab, PivotTable Tools, pops up when the PT is selected.

I'm looking at Office 10.
There are TWO tabs in the popup: Options & Design.

Select the Options TAB.

Here are the GROUPS in the Options TAB: PivotTable, Active Field, Group, Sort & Filter, Data, Actions, CALCULATIONS.....

In the Calculations group are Summarize Values By..., Show Values As, Fields, Items & Sets.

In Fields, Items & Sets is Calculated Field...

Phew many thanks Skip. An explanation that appears to have been missing from ALL the other explanations [banghead], "Fields, Items & Sets ". Genius - well, we know that!! [thanks]

Many thanks,
