Excel 2010 Ms Query does not update text fields 1

Hi all,

I have external dBase which I use to get reports to excel via Ms Query. I updated to Excel 2010 and now I have all my dbase fields like Names and addresses are showing exactly like in the source (long digit line). Data was converting automatically to text in 2007.

Anyone come across this problem.

Please post an example of what you mean, includeing what the row is in your database table and how the corresponding row appears in Excel.

This is the result of the First/Lats name

the first name is Dave Bloomfield.

What you have is ASCII HEX values that you must convert to ASCII.

You must have some interface data transfer issue.

Hi Skip,

I managed to fix it by installing different driver 5.2.5 win32 even though I have 64bit computer.
