Excel 2007 - Unreadable Content

I often have issues when opening .xlsx files. The message appears as follows:
Excel found unreadable content in 'name_of_file.xlsx'. Do you want to recover the contents of this work book? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.

After I select Yes, I get this message:
Excel completed file level validation and repair. Some parts of this workbook may have been repaired or discarded.
Removed Part: Print options.

It is happening on many, but not all of the Excel files I have received from other people. Has anyone else seen this?

I get the message frequently as well... I dont think ALL the files can be corrupted.

When opening spreadsheets created in previous versions, I also get the message "the named rang is already inuse in the workbook...do you want to change it" where there are no named ranges originally. Does anyone know if this is an 'unintended feature' of 07 ?

So, I have been reading up on this... and what I see does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

yes, it is a special unintended feature of microsoft. MS claims that it happens only with Pivot tables that have KPI indicators, but the numerous reports I have seen indicate this to be a regular feature of the app.

now....where can I download a copy of Visicalc........?
