Just upgraded our building to Office 2007 and I have this problem where I set a few columns to date format and it shows the date properly. When I save and close the file and open it back up it has reverted to a strange numerical value and when I check the cell format it says it is a general format and not the date format. No matter what I do I can not change it back to date format and have it stay for longer than a save and open. Has anyone had this problem before.

Need more info.

Is the file shared over a network?

Are you opening from within an email message?

Make sure you're saving to the same file, and not to a new file name.

Is the Excel file in 2007 format or in previous Excel format?
