I recently password protected a file so that I could work on it and no one else can get in. Now I am ready to share the document and would like to take the password off...
I created the password by going to "prepare" and then "encrypt"...
I looked at the Microsoft website and found out that to take the encryption off - I would need to retrace my steps (go to prepare, encrypt and then delete the password) - UNFORTUNATELY, that option is now grayed out for me and I can't do it...
I opened another excel document and tried to password protect (the same way) and then take it off (using the method Microsoft recommended) and it WORKED... which is why I think it is something I may have clicked by a mistake in my document? has anyone ever had a similar problem???
