When pasting an excel 2003 object into Word 2003 using paste special to select an excel object, any text in a cell over 256 characters is lost. Recently updated to SP2 but the problem persists. Is there an option that limits text past from Excel to Word

Are you copying the sheet as an object, or selecting the cells and copying those?

Cheers, Glenn.

That didn't make sense did it. How are you copying? Will do one thing at a time in future, so as to not get confused.

A selection of Cells are copied from the spreadsheet to the clipboard. Several of the cells have text that exceeds 256 characters. The copied cells are pasted into Word 2003 using paste special and selecting Excel object. Pasted cells with text that exceeds 256 characters are truncated to 256 characters.
