Hi,
On one Excel worksheet I have a list of company names and numbers. The second sheet lists records showing every date that those customers have been contacted year to date. (could be one record, could be dozens). How can I create a formula on the first sheet that would show the last date that each customer has been contacted?

Sheet 1
Company Number, Company Name, Last Date Contacted

Sheet 2
Company Number, Company Name, Contact Date

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

First, sort Sheet2 by [Company Number], [Contact Date] Descending.

The formula, using Named Ranges on Sheet2...
[tt]
=INDEX(Contact_Date,MATCH(A2,Company_Number,0),1)
[/tt]
assuming that your first detail data is in row 2 on Sheet1.

Skip,

for a NUANCE![tongue]
